Hoping someone could help me figure out why i am lagging like crazy on my wireless connection? I have a higher end computer (MSI bought from memory express) My internet speed is a 100MB/s connection My router is decent with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, and I've tried both.

I've tried other computers on the same networks with no connection issues at all. Additionally, i have tried a multitude of games all with the same lag issue. I believe its safe to assume there are very few things that would interfere with the WIFI. Which leaves me to think its this Killer wireless. I've played around with a bunch of different drivers and none seem to mitigate the problem (though I think I may have been getting the wrong drivers, which were actually for the ethernet switch.) At home, I just switched from using a netgear (I don't know the number at the moment) to the new default Comcast router.

I had no issues with the netgear, but I think the comcast one is causing a similar issue to what I have at school. At school, I'm on the Eduroam network. I have fine internet when I do anything except when I play online video games. When I'm playing a game, my connection drops like a rock. It spikes and disconnects wildly. (Note that the framerate of the video is low, but my actual game is much better than that. The issue is definitely not related to gpu or cpu) I've since found out that it's better or worse depending on which server I use, but it doesn't ever get to a point which is playable.

The same thing happens when I play League of Legends, and a whole host of other games (Red Orchestra, Nosgoth, King of Fighters). MSI support hasn't been able to come up with anything, and my first contact with the tech support here at school has been not helpful. I'm pretty much at my wit's end here.

The most interesting thing is that my friend just bought a laptop (not msi) and is having the same issue. He isn't at my school, but his school also uses the Eduroam network. His laptop has a wireless card from Qualcomm, which also makes mine. Now we're both really confused.

It worked wonders for about a week, and I could play Dota, voice chat and everything while using the same networks at school in my dorm. Then, the adapter started having issues. It would cut out for longer periods of time than even my on-board card.

I think this may be in part be due to the fact that it gets lower signal than my on-board card (it showed eduroam with fewer bars). I can occasionally get it to work alright, but it is very inconsistent. My on-board card does not work well in the library, and my new wireless adapter usually can't connect to the network there at all (it shows the network, but when I try to connect it fails). But nothing's consistent, sometimes the adapter works, sometimes I switch to the on-board card.
